Data Isolation

AgentDesk is a multi-tenant system where each organisation has its own portals, users, and data. Strict isolation ensures that one organisation's data is never visible to another.

How isolation works

  • Organisation boundaries -- Each organisation's data (portals, tickets, users, settings) is completely separate from other organisations.
  • Portal boundaries -- Within an organisation, each portal has its own users, tickets, and configuration. A user in one portal cannot see tickets from another portal unless they are a member of both.
  • Role-based access -- What you can see and do depends on your role. Customers only see their own tickets. Operators see all tickets in their portals. Admins can manage settings and users.

What this means for you

  • Your data is private to your organisation
  • Users can only access portals they have been added to
  • Tickets, comments, and attachments are scoped to their portal
  • Integration credentials and secrets are encrypted and isolated per portal
