Portal Management

Portal Management

Portals are separate workspaces for your clients. Each portal has its own branding, users, integrations, and ticket settings. This guide covers creating and configuring portals.

Creating a portal

  1. Go to Admin > Portals and click New Portal.
  2. Enter a Portal Name (at least 2 characters).
  3. The Portal Slug is generated automatically from the name. You can edit it if needed. The slug is used in the portal's URL.
  4. Click Create Portal.

You will be taken to the portal's settings page where you can configure it further.

Portal settings

Each portal has several settings tabs:

TabWhat you can configure
GeneralCustom domain, approved email domains, portal statistics, deactivation
Logo & StylesLogo, hero image, colour theme for light and dark modes
IntegrationsJira, GitHub, and other service connections
TicketingRequest types, workflows, status transitions
SSOSingle sign-on settings for this portal
UsersPortal users and invitations
AI AgentAI context files and behaviour guidelines
AssetsInfrastructure assets for monitoring
SLAService level agreement policies with business hours and priority-based targets

Setting up a custom domain

You can give your portal a branded URL like support.yourcompany.com.

  1. Go to the General tab and click the edit icon next to Custom Domain.
  2. Enter your domain.
  3. Click the checkmark to save.
  4. In your DNS settings, create a CNAME record pointing your domain to portal.noice.net.au.

Once the DNS change is verified, a DNS Verified badge appears next to the domain.

Approved email domains

Allow users with specific email domains to register for the portal without needing an invitation.

  1. Go to the General tab.
  2. Under Approved Email Domains, type a domain (for example, yourcompany.com) and click Add or press Enter.
  3. The domain appears as a badge. Click the X on any badge to remove it.

Anyone whose email matches an approved domain can create an account and access the portal.

Branding

Logo and hero image

Upload your branding from the Logo & Styles tab:

AssetAccepted formatsMaximum sizeNotes
Portal LogoPNG, JPG, SVG, WebP2 MBShown in the portal header
Hero ImagePNG, JPG, WebP5 MBRecommended size: 1920 x 400 pixels

Drag and drop a file into the upload area or click to browse. You can replace or remove images at any time.

Theme colours

Customise colours for both Light Mode and Dark Mode independently. Each mode has a palette of 10 colours that control buttons, links, backgrounds, text, and borders throughout the portal.

Preset themes

Nine preset themes are available for quick setup, including options like Corporate Blue, High Contrast, and Ocean Teal. Selecting a preset applies all colours at once. You can then fine-tune individual colours if needed.

Contrast checking

The colour picker shows a contrast rating (AAA, AA, A, or Fail) for key colour combinations, helping you ensure your portal is accessible and easy to read.

A live preview at the bottom of the page shows both light and dark modes with your current colour selections.

Portal statistics

The General tab displays your portal's total users, total workflows, and creation date.

Deactivating a portal

To deactivate a portal:

  1. Go to the General tab.
  2. Scroll to the Danger Zone and click Deactivate Portal.
  3. Confirm the action.

Deactivated portals are no longer accessible to users. You will be redirected to the portal list.

Portal list

The Admin > Portals page lists all your portals with their name, domain, Jira project, and user count. Use the Preview button to open a portal, or Settings to edit its configuration.
